Ordering a Set of Real Numbers
T.i.P.S.
Students should use their previous knowledge of real numbers including fractions, decimals, square roots, integers, irrational numbers to convert or change them into one form, and then order them. The use of a number line may be helpful not necessary.
Example
The volume of three cylinders is shown below.
List the volume in order from greatest to least and justify their thinking.
