Graphing in the First Quadrant using Ordered Pairs of Numbers
T.I.P.S.

Students must be able to graph ordered pairs in the first quadrant related to real-world problems.
Example
Cameron is 3 blocks ahead of Peyton as they walk to school. Use an input-output table to generate the numerical pattern. Graph the pattern on your own paper using the data from the table. Use the graph to determine how many blocks Cameron walks when Peyton has walked 8 blocks.

Readiness Standard 5.8 Geometry and measurement. The student applies mathematical process standards to identify locations on a coordinate plane. The student is expected to: (C) graph in the first quadrant of the coordinate plane ordered pairs of numbers arising from mathematical and real-world problems, including those generated by number patterns or found in an input-output tableFeedback
