Graphing Ordered Pairs on a Coordinate Plane

T.I.P.S.

Lightbulb

Students must be able to describe how to graph ordered pairs of numbers. The points will be limited to the first quadrant of the coordinate plane.

Example

Plot the following points on a graph on your paper (one graph per point) and explain your thinking.

a)  (0, 5)

b)  (3.5, 0)

c)   (5, 6)

d)  (7.5, 8 ½)
