Recognizing a Unit Cube Related to Volume
T.I.P.S.
Students must be able recognize that a cube with side lengths of one unit is considered to be a unit cube and has one cubic unit of volume. They must also be able to recognize that the volume of a three-dimensional figure is the number of unit cubes needed to fill the figure without any gaps or overlaps.
