Students must be able to add and subtract, any combination of whole numbers, fractions, and decimals with ease and efficiency.
Example
In 2012, the DFW area recorded 1 3/4 inches of rain in September, 1.02 inches in October, and 1/20 of an inch in November. If it rained 2 inches in June, how much more rain was recorded in September and October than in June and November?
