Expanded & Standard Forms
T.I.P.S.
The student must be able to use objects and pictures to represent numbers up to 120. They must be able to think flexibly and write the number in standard form and write the number in expanded form as a sum of hundreds, tens, and ones.
Example
The following straws are in bundles of tens and ones.
Using the number line shown below, on your paper show the number of straws in the picture. Then write the number in expanded form and standard form on your paper.
