The student must find a number that is more than or less than a given whole number up to 120. They must be able to explain their ideas and connect them to place value (ones, tens, and hundreds) and number relationships.

Complete the following tasks and use a place value model or a number line to explain your solution and thinking. You may need paper and a pencil.  a)  0 more than 39 is _____.  b)  1 less than 24 is _____.  c)  Find a number that is more than 103 and less than 120.  d)  Find a number that is more than 89 and has a 9 in the tens place.
