T.I.P.S.
The student must be able to determine the number of objects, up to 120 in a set, by counting by twos, fives, and tens. They must be able to reason and justify their mathematical ideas and arguments.
Example
Debbie has been saving pennies.
a) Show on your paper how Debbie can count the pennies by twos to see how many she has.
b) Show on your paper how Debbie can count the pennies by fives.
c) Show on your paper how Debbie can count the pennies by tens.

1.5 Algebraic reasoning. The student applies mathematical process standards to identify and apply number patterns within properties of numbers and operations in order to describe relationships. The student is expected to:(B) skip count by twos, fives, and tens to determine the total number of objects up to 120 in a set;
