Using Number Lines with One-Variable Two-Step Equations & Inequalities

T.i.P.S.

Lightbulb
The student will need to solve an equation or inequality and graph the solution on a number line. Students will need to understand the correct format of graphing on a number line. The solution to an equation on a number line is graphed as one point. The solution to an inequality on a number line is a range of points that may or may not include the endpoint.

Example

Using the inequality, 5x – 3 ≤ -18, graph it on a number line.
