In Second Grade
Second grade students wrote and solved one-step addition and subtraction word problems using data represented in pictographs and bar graphs as well as expanded the sorting of data up to four categories. Students continued to draw conclusion from pictographs and bar graphs and made predictions from these graphs.
In Third Grade
In third grade, students summarize data with multiple categories, solve one- and two-step problems using a frequency table, dot plot, pictograph, and a bar graph.
In Fourth Grade
In fourth grade, students will represent data and solve one- and two-step problems involving using a frequency table, dot plot, stem-and-leaf plots which may involve whole numbers, fractions, or decimal form.
