T.I.P.S.

Students must be able to solve problems efficiently and accurately. These word problems may require one or two steps to solve using addition and/or subtraction. The students must be able to represent the problem in a diagram and justify that their solution is reasonable.

Example

Victoria set a goal of selling 950 boxes of Girl Scout cookies. How many more cookies does she need to sell to meet her goal?
