T.I.P.S.
The student must read and solve worded problems that involve dividing a shape into equal parts and naming each part as a fraction. They must be able to explain how they solved the problem and how they know they are correct.
Example
Ginny made this special cake for Christmas. She wants to cut this cake into 4 equal pieces. Show how Ginny cut the cake and name each piece as a fraction.
