In Seventh Grade

Seventh grade students applied and extended understandings of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to solve problems that involved rational numbers, represented constant rates of change in various forms, solved multistep problems involving rates, ratios, and percents, represented linear relationships in various forms, and modeled and solved onevariable, onestep equations and inequalities.
In Eighth Grade

Students in eighth grade will graph proportional relationships, interpret the unit rate as the slope, use data from a table or graph to determine the slope, identify functions, write an equation in the form y = mx + b, and model and solve onevariable equations on both sides of the equal sign using rational number coefficients and constants.
