T.I.P.S.

Students must be able to solve for products of decimals to the hundredths. They must be able to do this in situations that involve money, and the solutions must be found using strategies based on a variety of mathematical ideas.
Example

Sarah bought some meat at the market priced at $3.20 per pound. The meat weighed 4.4 pounds. How much did Sarah pay for the meat? Show the relationship to finding the product of 32 and 44.
