T.I.P.S.

  • Lightbulb Students must be able to solve for quotients of decimal numbers. These numbers may have dividends with as many as four digits. The divisors will be whole numbers with one or two digits. They will solve for the quotients using strategies and algorithms, including the standard algorithm.

Example

  • Dr. Allison just approved a purchase order for the school library. The school will pay $388.50 for 21 new books. If each book costs the same amount, what is the price of one book? How do you know?
